I'm a radiology resident physician in New York. I grew up on Long Island and went through the public school system here. For college, I attended a 3+4 BS/DO program with NYITCOM, before earning my MD at the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University. I have worked in the public school system as substitute teacher at the middle school and high school level. I have also served on the Admissions Committee at Stony Brook interviewing medical student applicants.

Teaching has been part of my life the whole way. Both of my parents are teachers, so teaching naturally was always around me growing up. I started tutoring in high school and have never stopped since. It's my passion, and it brings me a lot of joy to see my students develop and succeed.

Every student is different, and no single formula works for everyone. I try to meet each student where they are, figure out their strengths and weaknesses, and tailor my sessions to their needs.

My goal is to do more than just deliver the knowledge. I want to get students excited about what they're learning, and show them why it matters and how it connects to the world outside the classroom. I want to be a mentor to these students and help them build good lifelong learning habits. We use study strategies like active recall, spaced repetition and other active learning techniques that they can take with them for life.

As someone in medicine, I especially want to help students who are premed or thinking about it. It's a long road, and I hope to pass what I've learned on to the next generation.

Many of my students have gone on to top universities, medical school and other great programs. The people I work with are physicians and others with graduate degrees, including PhDs, and we've all been through it ourselves. We're excited to help.
